Five Star is located close to the Asoke Road entrance (map) next to Country Road. It is the only gogo bar to
feature a live band. Well worth a visit if you are a live music fan.

One of my favourite bars in Bangkok, Better to arrive late when the live music is going well. Punters (including wives and girlfriends) frequently dance to the live music.Some sweet girls too.

Of all the bands that play in bars in BKK, this is my long term favourite. Their forte is classic rock and metal, Led Zep and Hendrix and the like, but they play all sorts of stuff as well, even Thai Pop for the dancers when it is quiet. You can also join then on stage and sing and presumably jam if you are good enough. They are all excellent musicians. The bar has a great atmosphere and is a good place to take a girl from another bar. No one seems to have a problem if you take in food off of the street, you may end up sharing it though! The girls recently improved in quality and there are a few cuties in there now. But go see the band!

Bangkok Bob
One of the smaller gogo bars on Cowboy. Only room for around 5 girls dancing at any times and the girls are of the more mature variety. However, its a good bar as the atmosphere is good and drinks prices are reasonable.
It is one of the oldest bars i.e. not changed, and as such has developed a good core of regulars and followers over the years. Very popular with the expats who frequent the area and well worth a look.
