Cactus is located in the center of Soi Cowboy (map) next to Dundee Bar. It is a small gogo bar showing signs
of age. The girls are on the more mature side but unlike most of the larger gogo bars it is more farang
friendly.

Cactus is without doubt the smokiest and dingiest bar in all of Soi Cowboy - BUT it is also has the best music by a long way. blues and rock are the mainstay. The owner, John is a genial host who will quickly make you feel welcome.

The Cactus customer base seems to be guys that live in or frequent Bangkok often, that should tell you something. The girls are not in attack mode, for drinks, but are more than willing to share their time if you buy them. The music is different than most bars on Soi Cowboy (a good thing). Most nights you can taste the alcohol in your drink and they have a very large beer menu. They also serve food a couple of night a week and is a big draw because of the quality of fare. Cactus is usually my first stop on Soi Cowboy and sometimes my last because of the comfortable atmosphere there.
